F-150-Compliance-Recalls

F-150 Compliance Recalls and Enforceable Undertaking

  • Ford Australia has entered into an enforceable undertaking with the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts (DITRDCA) in relation to regulatory non-compliance issues identified with right hand drive (RHD) Ford F-150 vehicles manufactured by Ford Australia.
  • The regulatory non-compliances relate mainly to the operation and positioning of various lighting features on the RHD F-150 vehicles. There is also a non-compliance where if the customer actively disables the Autonomous Emergency Braking system, it does not reactivate at the next ignition cycle.
  • Ford Australia is engaging with F-150 owners to complete compliance recalls to rectify the non-compliances identified.
  • Ford Australia is also completing rectification work on all F-150s that are yet to be sold or delivered to customers.
  • There are 992 sold vehicles affected. Customers who have taken delivery will receive recall letters in the coming weeks asking them to return their vehicles for the required repair works.
